10.09 night - day

Sorry for the brightness, it was a sunny day. Anyway, this is my day outfit - wore a pretty dress with vibrant bright purple tights. For the night just swapped them around for sheer tights, wore some jewelry, and heels. I also wore a denim jacket to go out to dress it down a bit since the dress' back is quite smart.

Today it's seventies day. Got this shirt from Matalan about a year ago, it was only five pounds. Outlets are always the answer to your fashion problems.

Oh, it's a weird day today! Overcast for a bit, then sunny again, then overcast again... I think it's raining now. Well, it don't matter! The pool is inside and today is swimming day. I wanted to have an outfit in which I could change in and out of a swimsuit easily but which was also relatively stylish, and so decided to go for the colour blocking trend. Additionally, the fact that it is already autumn lets me wear a kick-ass scarf. And we all know I love awesome scarves. I suppose red and green aren't very clashy - more like Christmasy, right guys? Guys? - but this is my first try at this.

So, here is the outfit for the day without any more babbling:

Hello! This was actually a really difficult outfit to photograph, and I had a hard time trying to show just how big these trousers are. They are MASSIVE, the boot is amazing. They also have a really pretty butterfly design, which looks really nice on its silky consistency. 

However, they are totally summer trousers. Because today was cold, I wore sheer tights under it, and as you may notice, they have no underlining, so to dress it up a bit (I do wear them to go out) I wear black tights. It looks quite funky. 

You may notice that this outfit is kinda simple and understated, that's because it's designed for a nice day in.

Hello, and welcome to today's outfit idea! I struggled a little bit today, wore this skirt which I love but doesn't really suit me very well, so eventually I ended up settling for jeans.

The shirt is just a casual shirt (From Internacionale) that has a skull in the front and some diamontes, with the little vest top (H&M, £7), and the big white belt (A present, sorry!). The jeans are straight boot-leg jeans. I intentionally didn't accesorize as I'm afraid that would make it a bit chavvy - fabulous.

To dress it up for going out tonight I'll take the belt off, wear high heels and a silver bracelet. I'll also take the hat off.

I need help with handbags in particular, any ideas?

01.09.2011 - It's getting cold!

Today is the first official day of Autumn. Not that the summer was much better in England, and my favourite parts of autumn are still to come: the crunchy leaves, the way everything seems to be through a pretty yellow filter. But one of my favourite parts is definitely back: the scarf! It was way too hot to wear them this summer, and now I get to wear them all the time. I love scarves, they are an easy way to add style to an otherwise boring outfit.

This is what I'm wearing today:

The scarf is from pronto, I think. 

The long-sleeved blue T is from Gap, and was about 10 dollars. 

The skirt was from H&M at £3.99

The tights, which are patterned and you can't really see, are patterned - and don't really go that well with the outfit because of the striped miniskirt. 

I was wearing vans shoes. They aren't in the picture, and they also didn't really fit - but my black pumps are wet. It was in general a very blue day because I also wore a wooly blue hat and had a blue necklace on. I wore a denim jacket to dress it down.

Hi, welcome to my blog! I am a not very feminine girl that wants to learn how to dress more stylishly and hopefully will be able to bounce some ideas of you, with feedback from each other. I would love to know what you think and your suggestions. I like to think that I have good ideas, so I will try to come up with a new outfit idea every day, starting with the first day of Autumn 2011.

It is also really imprtant to me that things be cost effective, and I aven't got much time. So hopefully I can show you what I'm wearing, how cheap it is and how little effort it took to put together.
